The challenge

WHAT YOU’LL DO 
In this role, you will be leading the Talent Acquisition team, responsible for all recruitment activities in the Netherlands, to attract the brightest talent for Bain & Company in Amsterdam. You will be the driving force behind developing and driving the recruitment strategy helping Bain to accelerate on the ambitious growth targets.

You will be managing a dedicated team of 4 FTE to manage the end-to-end process (including branding / marketing, events, sourcing, pipeline management and selection), and sign the best and diverse talent of the Netherlands (both Campus and Industry Hires). While doing so you ensure process excellence at all times, delivering a distinctive experience to the candidates across all touchpoints. Additionally, you will work closely with and manage the internal recruiting teams (i.e. consultant staff contributing to recruiting efforts). Lastly, you will manage the close relations with different stakeholders, both internally (align with regional / global recruiting, involve consulting staff for interviewing and events, etc.) and externally (drive relationship with candidates, manage headhunters and associations).

Responsibilities:

  • overseeing execution of day-to-day end-to-end activities of the Recruiting team, leading both the Campus & Industry Hires Acquisition teams
  • drive the development of the recruitment strategy for each year to achieve the hiring targets:
    – optimizing steps of the recruitment funnel (employer branding / marketing, events, sourcing, pipeline management and selection)
    – work with large number of stakeholders (e.g. consultant staff, associations, external partners) to help formulate strategy recommendations and coordinate the process to develop the strategic plan
  • lead implementation and execution of strategic plan, 1. Drive changes to recruitment through projects / initiatives and 2. Deliver against recruiting hiring targets and key metrics through running recruitment (applications, win-rate, etc.):
    – identify and implement continuous improvement process to ensure best-in-class process excellence, meeting recruiting targets and timelines
    – optimize Campus hiring capability and further build-out Industry hiring capability (with previous work experience), including sourcing, pipeline management and selection
    – participate as an active member across the regional and global recruiting teams; providing input to initiatives, participating on initiative teams and driving implementation of select initiatives
  • drive the data-driven Talent Acquisition approach: win the war for talent with data. Implement a disciplined and data-driven approach to Talent Acquisition while navigating a fast-paced, results oriented environment
  • measuring recruitment channel effectiveness and track and steer based on key recruitment metrics (KPIs)
  • lead and supervise the Talent Acquisition team (4 FTE as direct supervisees): provide ongoing coaching, manage professional development and deliver performance reviews
  • manage wide array of internal stakeholders, reporting to the Leadership team of Bain Amsterdam (involving LT in recruitment, reporting back on most important issues), and working closely with HR stakeholders as staffing, PD (personal development) and onboarding:
    – prepare and steer based on reporting cadences (monthly and quarterly updates
    – involve and motivate consulting staff in recruitment (attending events, doing interviews, etc.)
    – liaise with HR to set-up candidates for success (ensuring contracts, start dates, onboarding)

ABOUT YOU

  • Undergraduate degree.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of work experience, ideally in recruitment / talent in a manager position.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to quickly build trust-based relationships with prospective. candidates and interact with senior management at Bain.
  • Strong performance and leadership skills in high-performance environment.
  • Ability to think strategically, to set-out overall Bain Amsterdam recruitment strategy.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in both Dutch and English.
  • Strong project management skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize among multiple priorities (for self and team).
  • Proactive, confident, motivated and enthusiastic – the driving force behind recruiting.
